"The 3 Idiots"

     Farhan Qureshi (R. Madhavan), Raju Rastogi (Sharman Joshi), and Rancchoddas "Rancho" Shyamaldas Chanchad (Aamir Khan) are three engineering students who share a room in a hostel at the Imperial College of Engineering, one of the best colleges in India. While Farhan and Raju are average students from modest backgrounds, Rancho is from a rich family. Farhan wants to become a wildlife photographer, but has joined engineering college to fulfil his father's wish. Raju on the other hand wants to uplift his family fortunes. Rancho is a wealthy genius who studies for the sheer joy of it. However, Rancho's passion is for knowledge and taking apart and building machines rather than the conventional obsession of the other students with exam ranks. With his different approach Rancho incurs the wrath of dean of college, Professor Viru Sahastrabudhhe (ViruS) (Boman Irani). Rancho irritates his lecturers by giving creative and unorthodox answers, and confronts ViruS after fellow student Joy Lobo hangs himself in his dormitory room. Joy had requested an extension on his major project on compassionate grounds—his father had suffered a stroke—but ViruS refused, saying that he himself was completely unmoved by his own son's accidental death after being hit by a train. 

     Ranchoddas Shamaldas Chanchad known as “Rancho” was played by Aamir Khan is one of my favorite character. He is one of the main cast in the movie three idiots. Rancho’s character in the movie was not just being a genius among them but also he’s the optimistic one. He does not live his life according to what the society wants, he lives with his own rules. Among the three, he had been not scared of doing what he think is right. Even the school’s principal, Mr. Virus, had become his enemy. He may look as a stubborn person at first but as the movie progresses until the end, you’ll soon realize that the character of Rancho plays the role of the people living their life with the knowledge of knowing what they truly want for their future. It may seem hard at first because no one will hardly support you of your decisions in life but the character of Rancho will let us think twice of our life decisions. It doesn’t mean that what the society dictates, or even what our parents wants us to do will shape our future. Yes, they may know what’s good for us but we also know what we want. And what we want will lead us not just to success but also to our life’s fulfillment.

    

      Rancho is indeed a very inspiring man for all of us, as he made us all realize that education is what we really need for the success of our future. He even taught us the value of friendship, that friends will always are our second family and we should value them. Through ups and downs, true friends will always be there for you. 

       I dont want to improve the character or plot of the story because it is really amazing, funny but inspiring story. Rancho had inspired may people not just in the movie but also outside the movie. One of the most famous line of Rancho is "ALL IS WELL". 

     When asked about it, he said that he learned about the heart, that he heart could be scared easily. Being scared does not get you anywhere so trick it, trick the heart. However big the problem, tell your heart, "All is Well" it does not solve the problem but you can gain courage to face the problem.
